Privacy Statement
In connection with the provision of the service offered on the Website and the performance of this Agreement, the Publisher, as data controller, and the Host, as the processor, undertake to comply with the regulations in force applicable to the processing of personal data as referred to in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended, on information technology, files and freedoms, and Law No. 2018-493 of 20 June 2018 on the protection of personal data.
s a service provider, the Publisher is responsible for processing personal data collected for the performance of this contract. As such, there are several categories of Users (roles):
- Journal manager: Manages the technical settings of the Website and is responsible for the editorial content of the Journal. Has the authority to assign roles to registered Users.
- Editor-in-chief: He is responsible for the scientific content of the Journal with the support of the editorial committee.
- Author: The person who created the Work published on the Website and who holds the intellectual property rights to it.
Registered Users may have one or more roles at a time; these roles are assigned by the Journal Managers or the Editor-in-Chief.

The creation of the account is based on the consent of the User, who, for the purposes defined according to their role, freely decides to register their data on the Website.
If an account remains inactive for a period exceeding 24 months, the Journal's managers will delete the account and all personal data linked to that account, with the exception of accounts registered under the role of Author and having published Works.

It is the responsibility of the User-Author or User-Manager to obtain the consent of any contributors to the Work in order to reference the aforementioned data on the Website. The personal data of authors is collected solely for the purposes of publishing, referencing and indexing the Contribution of the Author and/or Contributors, as is customary in the creation of bibliographic records.
It is retained for the duration of the publication. The withdrawal of a Work by an Author results in the deletion of the corresponding data relating to the Work.
Some data is displayed publicly (first name, middle name, surname, main author's email address, ORCID ID, URL, affiliation, country and biographical note), while other data is only accessible to the data controllers mentioned above.
By submitting a Work to the Site, the Author acknowledges that they are aware that harvesting by Internet search engines, whether or not they specialise in indexing open archives or bibliographic databases, may reveal bibliographic data concerning them, and that they consent to such use.
Users who visit the website (without creating an account) will not be subject to any type of data processing. It is possible that a contact form may be filled in, or a request for a copy and RSS feed may be made by the User. In this case, the data provided by the User will only be used to respond to their request and will not be used for any other purpose. This data will only be kept for the time required to process the request.

The Publisher reserves the right to send messages to mailing lists created on the basis of the roles of registered Users, to use the data for internal statistical and analytical purposes within the Journal to improve its own management and operation, as well as for the other purposes mentioned in these Terms and Conditions of Use.
Cookies
The cookies used on the site are not intended to identify the User but are used solely to record information relating to the User's browsing on the website.
Open Journal System uses cookies to manage user sessions (for which they are required). Cookies are not necessary to simply visit the site and read the content.
The User of the website acknowledges having been informed of this practice and authorises it.
Journal email alert
You have subscribed to the email alert service and the personal data we process for this purpose is your surname, first name and email address. This personal data is stored under the strictest conditions of security and confidentiality and the criteria for determining how long it is stored are the duration of your subscription (as long as you do not unsubscribe) or the validity period of your email address.
The only recipients of the data are INRAE staff authorised to manage letters. The information collected is not communicated outside INRAE. Nor is it used for commercial purposes.
You have the right to access, rectify, oppose on legitimate grounds, restrict and erase all data concerning you under the conditions provided for by Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms and by General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679.
