Ensuring the multiplication and culture of grafted apple and pear trees in pots in the greenhouse

Abstract

On the Phenotic platform, considerable failures with multiplication by grafting apple and pear trees in pots in the greenhouse can occur during the resumption of growth after repotting. These failures are due to a fungus (Phytophthora cactorum or collar rot) that may cause losses of up to 50% of grafted plants or lead to the failure of the graft, resulting in its death. This situation can lead to the postponement or cancellation of the experiment. In this document, I propose a technical procedure with which compliance will limit these losses.
