Implementation of a solar tracker and its instrumentation on a forest site

Abstract

In the scope of the XYLOSYLVE project and to set up a continuous traceability of the diffused component of natural solar radiance, we has implemented a solar tracker and some sensors to measure this radiance in various wave lengths. In the paper, we will describe the implementation of this solar tracker in a natural forest and we will present the very first measures. This type of equipment will be integrated in the instrumentation dedicated to the european research infrastructure ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System).
