Development of immunohistochemical labeling of Fluororuby®, a tracer for efferent neuronal pathways, in ewes

Abstract

In this article, we try to explain the immunocystochemistry labelling setting out of the Fluororuby® used to highlight efferent neuronal routes of the periaqueducal grey substance on ewes. This is the first time this tracing is used on ewes. First we have tested different conditions to optimise the immunocystochemistry. Our goal was to validate the specificity by an inhibition test and a test without incubation of the primary antibody. After this focus work, we are able to describe efferent neuronal connections of the periaqueducal grey substance which is a cerebral structure involved in the adaptation behavioural strategies of the stress.
