Optimization of plant sample preparation for chemical analysis and infrared spectrometry: cutting, grinding and high-throughput sieving

Abstract

Grinding plant samples is an essential step prior to conducting many analyses within the Phenobois Platform. In this article, we present our latest advances in optimizing our plant material grinding line, which is based on the use of an SK550 paint stirrer. Improvements have been made to precut wood twigs, enhance the ergonomics of screwing and unscrewing the grinding bowl caps, and automate the mass sieving of plant powders.
