An introduction to the use Deep Learning to monitor animal behaviour

Abstract

In this article, the author explores the potential offered by artificial intelligence for monitoring animal behaviour. In this field, where the environments are relatively constant, such as experimental infrastructures, artificial intelligence combined with sensors, cameras or other devices should make it possible to monitor various behavioural traits of farm animals continuously over the long term, provided that a sufficient quantity of annotated data is available.
