Rewild: From traditional to differentiated management of green spaces

Abstract

The Rewild project (Ecological and Innovative Reinvention of Green Space Management) was funded in 2022 through the «CSR Incubator» call for projects. Its main goals were to transform the green space management practices across three Toulouse INRAE sites – covering a total of 94,000 m²– to enhance their ecological quality, and to get a better understanding of how employees use and perceive these spaces by involving them as much as possible in the overall
design process. The project was led by the Biodiversity Working Group (GTB), created under the CSR policy of the INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse center, which coordinates biodiversity-focused initiatives. The GTB brings together 12 volunteer staff members from 6 of the center’s 26 units, along with representatives from support services directly involved in the topic.
